ForwardBy Gracia BurnhamWhen Mr. Moore asked me to have a look at this book, I told that I would love to. “Just give me a few days.” I told him. With my busy schedule days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months. As God would have it, I ended up reading “Living Well, Dying Well on the 6th anniversary of my husband, Martin’s death (June 8th) and during the very days that would have been Martin’s and my 25th Wedding Anniversary had he survived our ordeal in the jungle. It was the perfect book for such a time. I read every word and the further I read the more it encouraged my heart just when I needed it. As you reminded me, Brother Bill, the day of my death is a day to look forward to with eagerness. And your way with words and your wisdom! I especially appreciated the end chapter “Tying Up Your Loose Ends” and I’m working on it. I would encourage every Christian to read this book. May God Bless You Richly, Your Sister in the Lord, Gracia Burnham (Martin and Gracia Burnham were New Tribes missionaries to the Philippines in 2001 when Muslim revolutionaries captured and held them hostages for over a year. Martin was killed and Gracia shot in the leg when they were “rescued” by government forces on June 8, 2002.) Gracia Burnham is the author of the New York Times Bestseller “In the Presence of Mine Enemies, 2003, Tyndale Books.
