Fact #1-We are ALL Going to Die

Like it or not, ignore it or not, fair or not, every single person alive on planet earth is going, sooner or later, to die. Death is the only thing in life that we know with 1000% surety will happen to each and every one of us. And it will probably be sooner than later. Death ALWAYS comes sooner than we prefer. All those of you who are over 40 begin to sense that you as slipping down the slope called “over the hill” know the feeling: with each year or birthday comes the feeling that they are speeding up, coming closer and closer together. Then morbid fact finally slaps you in the face: “I am really going to die.” Intellectually, we have known that fact since childhood, but live our lives like we are immortal. When that sobering thought grabs you by the collar and slaps you in the face, the Father is trying to get your attention to start thinking about your final destination.

The reason we are all doomed to die is that we are all hard-wired to sin. Ever since Adam introduced sin into the world, mankind has the propensity to sin. Hard as the human will tries to resist sin, it has every single one of us by the throat and will never let go until it has claim our bodies. God is so perfect, so incredibly holy that he cannot stand to look at us with even one very “minor” (to us) in our life. That is why when Jesus, God’s only son, was dying on the cross, that God had to turn His back on His only Son when He poured the sins of the world on Jesus. Your sin is what separates you from your Father. Only by confessing that you are a sinful person, can the blood of Jesus cleanse your life and give you eternal life.

Fact #2-Your Options are Severely Limited

When it comes to death, you have very few options: Heaven or Hell. That is it. (If you are one who toys with the belief that nothingness awaits you after the grave or that you will be reincarnated into another life, then you are still describing just a different form of Hell.) Then guess what? You are running out of time, too. Each and every day that passes by brings you one day closer to your appointment with death when the coroner pronounces you dead and signs the death certificate. No matter your present age, death stalks you and will, one day, sooner or later (always sooner then you expect) arrive right on your scheduled date to claim your body and your immortal soul. “It is appointed to man once to die, (Hebrews 9:27). No need to be concerned about missing your appointment, death will find you no matter where you try you hide. A very pragmatic person will tell you that now is the time to settle your eternity.

Fact #3-God Has a Plan to Cover That

Since God already knew you and I were sinful, thus deserving of Hell, He devised the perfect plan to ransom our perfection (being completely sinless is standard for citizenship in Heaven). His plan is very simply: Jesus. John 3:16 perfectly spelled out God’s plan for sinful mankind “For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall NOT perish (die) but have everlasting life” (emphasis mine). The name of the Son of God is Jesus.

Fact #4-The Plan is So Simple it is Beautiful

God’s plan to take us home to Heaven is simply beautiful. It involves trading a life bound for Hell and replaces it with a life of eternal life in place called Heaven. This place called Heaven is too wonderful for words (Paul), where it’s beautiful that it is indescribable (John), where the believer becomes immortal (Jesus), a place so full of love that the there is no need of the sun (God), and where there is absolutely no pain, disease, sadness, tears. How could any person in his right mind refuse such an invitation to join the Lord there, this completely FREE gift of God: “For the wages of sin is death, but the (FREE) gift of God though Jesus Christ, our Lord (Romans 6:23).

Fact #5-This FREE Gift is Available to You RIGHT NOW

All that you need to do is be willing to trade your present life full of sin, pain, misery and death, for a life filled with the love of your Heavenly Father, His perfect peace, abundant life here on earth and an eternal home that defies description. When I was 16 years old I traded my sin filled life for eternal life with Jesus as my captain, I have NEVER regretted that day one second since then. Of course I do not know what lies in front of me on this planet earth, but that doesn’t matter a whit, because I have one who has promised that He will never leave nor forsake me (Hebrews !3:5).

Fact #6-All You Have to Do Is Ask Your Father to Save You RIGHT NOW

Jesus stands ready to come into your life and take over the control of your life today, at this very moment in time...”Behold I stand at (your) door and knock. If any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come into him and sup (save) him and he with me” (Revelation 3:23. All that you need to do is humble yourself, admit that you are a sinner, that you have made a mess of out life thus far and that you can’t handle this life alone. Then simply pray asking Jesus to take charge of your life and to save you from hell and death.

Fact #7-Pray this Simple Prayer of Faith Believing

My friend, God has made the requirement for eternal life so simple. Pray this prayer in your heart, believing that Jesus was all that He said he was and you SHALL be gloriously saved from death and hell: “Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, I know that I have made a wreck of my life so far and that I deserve to die and burn in hell forever, but RIGHT NOW I ask you to come into my life and save me from the fires of hell. I Thank You for taking over my life, and making me a part of your forever family. I now ask you to help me to live for you Lord Jesus.

That’s it my friend. Welcome to the Father’s forever family. Now it is very important to seal your salvation my telling someone about what you just did. The disadvantage of being a nonbeliever is that this life is the only heaven some people will ever know.”
